This Privacy Policy explains how MKB Consulting, Inc ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares information through Produce It (the "Service"), the production-management software at produceit.online.
Who this policy covers
- Customers: producers and their teams who create an account and use the Service in a workspace.
- Recipients: crew members, vendors, clients and other people whose details a Customer adds to the Service, or who open a link a Customer sends them (for example, a call-sheet link to confirm a call time). Recipients don't need an account.
When a Customer adds a Recipient's details, the Customer decides what to add and how it is used for their production. We process that information on the Customer's behalf. Customers are responsible for giving any notices and getting any permissions the law requires before they add someone's information or send them messages. If you are a Recipient with a question about your information, you can contact the producer who added you, or contact us.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information: your name, email address and sign-in details. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider.
- Workspace content: the projects, budgets, schedules, call sheets, run-of-show and cue sheets, notes, tasks and documents you create or upload.
- Contact details you add about other people: names, companies, roles, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, rates and payment terms. Also documents such as W-9s and certificates of insurance, which can include tax identification numbers.
- Billing information: payments are processed by our payment provider. We don't store full card numbers.
Information Recipients give us through links
- A crew member's response to a call sheet (confirmed, tentative or a conflict, with an optional note), and how they prefer to be reached (email, text or both).
- Text-message consent: when someone agrees to receive production texts, we record when they agreed, the number they agreed for, and how (they chose it themselves, or a producer confirmed they agreed). We also record when consent is withdrawn, including by replying STOP.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical information needed to run and secure the Service, such as IP address, browser type, and the date and time of requests.
- Records of certain actions in the Service, such as who changed a budget or confirmed a call. These are kept for security and so a team can see what changed.
Information from connected services
- Google Calendar (optional): if you connect your Google account, we read your calendar events (read-only) to show them in the Service. See "Google user data" below.
How we use information
- To provide the Service, for example generating call sheets and budgets, and sending call sheets, reminders and invite links by email or text when a Customer asks us to.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To respond to support requests.
- To meet legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Text messages (SMS)
When a Customer sends call sheets, schedule changes or invite links by text, we send them from our messaging provider on the Customer's behalf. We text a phone number only after its owner has agreed to receive production texts at that number. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Google user data
If you connect Google Calendar, we request read-only access to your calendar and use it only to show your events inside the Service. We don't use Google user data for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't let people read it except as needed for security, to comply with law, or with your permission. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can disconnect Google at any time in the Service or in your Google account settings.
How long we keep information
We keep information for as long as a Customer's account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When a Customer deletes content or closes their account, we delete or de-identify the related information within a reasonable time. Some records may be kept longer where the law requires it, or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Consent records for text messages are kept so we can show when and how consent was given or withdrawn.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. These include encryption in transit, access controls that keep each workspace's data separate, private storage for uploaded documents, and links that expire. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. Please upload only the documents and details your production needs. If we learn of a security incident that affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion: you can view and edit most information in the Service. To ask for a copy of your information, or for us to correct or delete it, email produceit.privacy@mkb.consulting. If your information was added by a producer, we may pass your request to that producer.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them. A producer can also remove your text consent.
- Email: service emails, such as call sheets and reminders, are sent at a Customer's request. Contact the producer, or us, if you no longer want to receive them.
- Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, such as the right to know what we collect or to appeal a decision about your request. We won't discriminate against you for using them. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and an authorized agent can make a request for you with proof of their authority.
- California residents: we don't sell or share personal information, as California law defines those terms, and we use sensitive information, such as a tax ID on an uploaded W-9, only to provide the Service.
Children
The Service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information directly from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Productions sometimes include performers under 16. A producer may add someone under 16 only with permission from their parent, guardian or another person who can legally consent for them, and must use that person's email address and phone number for messages, not the young person's.
International users
We store and process information in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make significant changes, we will let Customers know by email or in the Service before they take effect. The "Last updated" date shows the latest version.
